This stunning quitar comes with original black Gibson plush lined case and new (never fitted) single ply scratchplate and fitting kit.
This is a very clean example of a truly stunning guitar, it's hardly been played (and certainly never gigged in my ownership), there is some very light buckle rash on rear (not through laquer).
The tone and sustain is unbelievable. In the words of Spinal Tap, you could go and have a bite and you'd still be hearing it...Sadly it must go as I can not justify having such a professional instrument while on the downward slope (I bought it on a bit of a whim 2 years ago, thinking I was more of a guitar hero than I actually am!).
Les Paul Standards of identical spec are currently retailing at over £1450 on GAK and CODA's online stores:
I am also including a thick, high quality Gibson USA guitar strap and strap locks (as well as the original strap buttons).
There is a receipt in the case from the previous owner who had a fret dress and set up done at Chandler Guitars in 2004.
Here are the (very minor) issues that this guitar has:
There
is a small amount of tarnishing on the pickup covers and bridge, I haven't polished
this out as it adds to the vintage look (I'm sure it could easily be polished
out if required). | |
There
is a slight mark on the rear of the body near the neck joint, this is a dent in
the laquer and does not penetrate through the finish. It was really hard to photograph
this, you cannot see it in the other pics of the rear of the guitar. | |
There
is also a small chip in the lower body (which cannot been seen unless you really
look for it) I'm sure this could be repaired easily if required. |
